Who we are

What we collect and why

• When you contact us or order (form, WhatsApp, phone or email): your name, contact details and what you tell us about the order — for example the recipient, a delivery address, a card message, or the name and resting place of a loved one. We use it only to answer you and to carry out the order.
• When you use this website: technical data your browser sends (such as your IP address), needed to show you the site and keep it secure.
• Only if you agree in the cookie banner: statistics about which pages are read, and measurement of our Google ads.

Legal basis

We process your information to take and carry out your order or answer your question, because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in running the shop safely, or because you consented (statistics and advertising cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Who else receives it

We don't sell your information. Service providers who host this website, check and forward form messages (including a check that a form was sent by a person, not a spam bot) and provide our email and office software process it on our behalf. Some of them are based outside South Africa (for example in the European Union or the United States); they are bound to protect it at a level comparable to POPIA. If you accept advertising cookies, Google receives data about your visit.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it for your order and to meet our legal and tax obligations, and then we delete it. If you ask us to place flowers every year, we keep the details until you tell us to stop.

Your rights

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing — write to sales@floralevents.co.za. We only send you marketing messages if you asked for them, and every message lets you opt out.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.
